This course meets on three days - 11/3, 11/4 & 11/5 (each day is from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM).

The Inter-Agency Council (IAC) presents their professional development course called, "Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention (SCIP)." This course focuses on dealing safely and affectively with challenging behaviors of consumers.  Trainees will become aware of situations that may lead to aggressive behavior, learn preventive strategies and appropriate calming techniques to de-escalate situations, and learn proper techniques for physical intervention when appropriate.

According to IAC: Using a checklist that will be provided to you upon confirmation, please indicate those techniques you DO NOT want taught to your staff. The student must bring this checklist to the class.
